Seeing this young sad boy made me feel like I would want to capture his emotions in a piece and, to me, I portrayed his true feelings by a mixture of unity and value in this piece.

At first I mapped out everything very lightly so if any changes were to be made, it would be easier to make. After everything was mapped right I just added value with shading pencils until I felt that everything worked together to show the young boys feelings.
SAD BOY
CLEVELAND PRINCIPLES AND ELEMENTS
Being that the Cleveland Cavaliers are my favorite team, I thought it would be cool to combine my favorite sports team with the principles and elements of art.

I cut out a Cleveland Cavalier C that I drew and traced it on the paper about 13 times. For each on eon the element side i used a different element in each C and did the same for principles. I did add an additional C in the middle of the paper because the background of the paper is the Cleveland Cavaliers home court.
THE HAND GUNS
Seeing all the violence now made me realize that if it continues there won't be anyone to kill or be killed because everyone will already be dead. I thought i would paint a piece to portray this message.

Mapping everything out lightly to make sure it wouldn't be seen through the paint was my first step. After that i mixed my acrylic paint to get the colors I needed and painted over and inside the lightly mapped lines.
THE GREEN HOUSE

ARACHNAMAN
People are usually scared of insects and spiders are a huge part of that fear. Seeing how there are many ways to illustrate this fear, I wanted to illustrate this in a way never done before.
First I added a light red, almost pink, in the middle and brought it to a darker red around the borders as a background. Then I mapped lightly on top of the background. Then one layer of the same red and then more layers to make the reds darker and lighter. Finally, I outlined everything in black to add a cartoonish look.
IT
IT was originally a horror movie produced 27 years ago before 2017. They made a remake of the movie. As they say, IT was reawoken and they reproduced the movie. This was a perfect opportunity to create an image that portrayed what I thought the movie would look like.
First I made a light red go into a darker red for the hair. They I did the skin details. Lastly, I did all the little details.
Northern Lights
Watercolor is a great way to illustrate landscapes. Instead of a full landscape, I had this idea to put it in a dream catcher since the landscape was such beautiful scenery, almost dreamlike.
First I mapped out lightly where everything would go and where the highlights would go. Then I added masking fluid to keep the highlighted areas white. I added different layers for the scenery and dream catcher. Finally, I added the background, all black.
Face Off
Kyrie Irving is the best PG in the NBA today. He recently left the Cavaliers because he felt like he was not given the credit needed. Illustrating Lebron James and Kyrie Irving was a great way to illustrate competitiveness between these two new rivals.
First I painted both halves of the background with each team color. Then I mapped out the faces. I added one layer of skin-toned brown. I then added another layer adding white and black to add the highlights and shadows. Finally I went over every black area and the piece was complete
Jelly Fam
The Jordan 5 is one of my favorite Jordan shoes. There is a colorway that came out with one of the shoes and they were called the Jelly 5's. I thought I could use an original colorway 5 and illustrate the shoe in a creative way.
First I printed out the shoe and used the light table to trace the shoe on my final piece. I then grabbed magazines with all the colors I needed and glued pieces down where they belong. Finally, I added the background with ripped black pieces of a magazine paper.
JumboTron
Many kids today have never been to an NBA game, including myself. Going to one at a young age is magical to teens and children. Creating a JumboTron would give a sense of how it would feel to actually witness an NBA game.
First I used my slab of clay to mold a slanted box on all sides. Then I added coils to make it higher and even and smooth everything out. I added small pieces of clay to the outsides of every wall and attached thin clay slabs to illustrate television screens. Finally, I slip scored scores and team names on each thin slab on the outside of the box.
The King of Ball
I feel as if Lebron James is the greatest player of all time. Most even call him the king of basketball. Doing this piece was a great way to illustrate my feelings towards his performance and how I felt about the situation.
First I mapped out the ball lightly with the crown on top. I then added a layer of red vine charcoal to the basketball to give it color. I went over all the black lines with compressed charcoal pieces and added them where there were shadows. Finally, I first added vine charcoal and then compressed charcoal to the background to show the illusion of the ball being in a dark place.
Seeing some of Frank Loyd Wright's work inspired me to try my own oil pastel perspective piece.
First I mapped out the greenhouse with pencil on a black piece of construction paper. Then using colored pencils and oil pastels, I blended colors together to get the colors needed.
